I have lived in the Des Moines area since 1991 and have ­local knowledge of our beautiful city. I am bi-lingual in English and Norwegian (Swedish and Danish).

I have a BA from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and a MA from Iowa State University. I also serve as the Vice Chair of the Board of Managers for the Riverfront YMCA, downtown Des Moines.
